So it turns out that Alex Garland (he of 28 Days Later and Sunshine fame) is writing the script for a new Judge Dredd movie (according to Empire anyway). This is extraordinarily good news. I always thought that once there was enough distance from the whole Stallone fiasco, it’d make sense for someone to have another stab at adapting one of the best comics in the land. Let’s just hope they keep the drokking helmet on this time. So who should play the big guy? I always thought Ray Liotta would have been a good option. Someone on the Empire site has suggested Mickey Rourke, which I could imagine. Or how about The Stath? Or maybe, just maybe, Dolph Lundgren?
