“Hillary ran a great campaign, she is a great politician, but she did not run as a candidate who happens to be woman, instead she ran as the “Female Candidate.” Barack Obama ran not as a black candidate, but a candidate who happens to be black. The difference is subtle, but it made all the difference. The choice should never have been, “are you sexist, or are you racist?”
