Over-networked

Gosh the Internet can be be hard work sometimes. I’m now a member of four separate social networking sites. They’re all good, and they all serve diferent purposes, but it’s just a pain that they’re not all in one place.

First of all, there’s Facebook. There’s no way out of that. There are currently only fourteen people in the world who don’t have a Facebook account. That’s true, I swear.

Then there’s Flickr. Photos. Photos that I usually end up importing onto Facebook as well. And can manage in iPhoto. Lots of duplicated work, but it still seems essential somehow.

And then there’s LinkedIn, which I’ve only just joined, and I’m not really sure what to do with.

And the one I’ve been playing with today is Behance, which is a network of creative sorts, enabling you to post up projects and receive feedback on them. It looks pretty useful, but given that I already have a portfolio site that I’ve slaved over for hours, it again feels like I’m duplicating work.

Stupid Internet.
